We started with one of the main pillars of the group, our operations director, Manuel António Barros, who will tell us about AMOB’s journey, his functions and daily challenges.

Now available online, our history, legacy and future, a first-hand testimony by Manuel António Barros operations director of AMOB Group.

In an intimate conversation, Manuel António shares his futuristic vision about the group founded by his grandfather, António Martins de Oliveira Barros in the 60’s, since then, AMOB is a family company. Manuel António Barros and his sister Inês Barros are currently the third generation of this company that is a world reference in the metalworking industry.

All of Manuel António’s knowledge was transmitted over the years by his father, Manuel Barros, CEO of the AMOB group. “My father has a very operational role in the productive part of the company. The knowledge that I brought 4 years ago of the type of machines that we produce came from him.” Says M. António Barros.

AMOB is present in the global market with an exceptional level of equipment and tools for tube bending, profiles and end forming, from the simplest manual equipment to the most complex and fully electrical systems. AMOB develops, designs, produces, commercializes and provides technical assistance to a huge variety of products for an endless number of industrial sectors, including automotive, naval, aeronautical, construction, among others.

With agents in the 5 continents of the world and with machines installed in the same 5 continents, the group seeks daily to strengthen its presence in current markets and seeks to establish itself in new markets.

“From the point of view of our customers, my goal is that the AMOB name and the AMOB brand come to the minds of our customers or people who are in this industry whenever the topic of bending tubes or forming tubes is present in the conversation.” Affirm M. António Barros.

AMOB has a team of almost 200 employees, where each member plays a key role in the solid and sustained growth of the company over the years.
